THE BITTER FACT

DISMAL EXPERIENCE, BETTER FUTURE

I am having an interesting experience of teaching 4th, 5th and metric class ‘ students now a days. One of them namely Noor is an innocent little kid.she’s in 4th class.Today I woke up at 5:40 pm after enjoying a sound sleep and I had to get at tution centre at 6′ o clock; thus only 20 minutes remaining also I had to get shower in that little time left, but somehow or the other I managed to get my destination at 6:05 pm mean I was five minutes late.

I knocked the door.An innocent voice of that little kid ” Who’s there?….” ” Sir Imtiaz,,,…..” I replied and when she opened the doorI could have a clear guess that she was looking quite sad but I couldn’t find the reason of that account.Anyhow I started the class and assigned them daily work after teaching them.I was continuously noticing that little kid that she wasn’t taking that much interest today as she had earlier.

The students completed their work fifteen minutes before the specified time and when I was having a look at their tests Noor asked me fearlessly in an innocent way ” Sir you were five minutes late and we were very happy; all were praying would that!!! Sir won’t come today. ” The moment she said those words it sent me back to my childhood when we,too, used to have the same dismal experience whenever after being five or ten minutes late , our tutor rang the door bell turning all our joy into gloom and we had to bear him for the whole hour.

I gathered myself and got the reason of her sadness, let them free and extracted the solution that I shouldn’t be late not even one minute because it it creates a state of dilemma in the students whether the teacher would come or not and most probably, they set their mind as not to study today. In their immature sense, they take the appearance of the teacher as a dismal experience but now when I am a teacher I often think that how important that little hard time was!!! Had I not passed that little tough time, I wouldn’t have been able to get that success as I own today with the grace of God.
